Yes, I understand HOW billing is tied to SAG Ensemble, but it seems unfair that there is no way to petition for the rare exceptions.

I guess I'm thinking of how producers can petition the Tonys on whether to place a performer in Leading or Featured, despite their billing in Playbill.

As I posted earlier, Carlos Diehz has a pivotal role in ''Conclave'' and has more screen time and dialogue than Isabella Rossellini. I think it sucks that he is not considered part of ''Conclave's'' SAG Ensemble because he's a newcomer. (I wonder if he could've gotten a title card: ''And introducing ...'')

In the past, I recall the disparity of ''Beasts of No Nation'' (2015) listing only 3 actors in its SAG Ensemble, while ''Bobby'' (2006) once listed 24!

It's funny, but I just wrote to a fellow journalist and brought up Harry Shum Jr. in ''Crazy Rich Asians.'' As you noted, Shum only appears in the credits, has no dialogue (and isn't even identified), yet was part of its SAG Ensemble because of his billing. (Shum says he did film other scenes, but they were cut.)
