| I found the singing of the two leads in the film to be a little underwhelming, in comparison to the stage recordings. This is probably at the level of nit-picking, but I found their performances kind of relaxed and passive - lacking the intensity of the stage performers. I'm wondering if this was a deliberate choice, to go for a more 'pop' sound, since we know Erivo can give intense vocal performances. |
