If memory serves, there are two different versions of the play and some of the witness characters are different between the two versions. She did a revision at some point. I don't actually know if both are available, but I worked on a production many years ago and recall this being talked about.
Also, as I recall, the audience jury verdict doesn't make a spectacular amount of difference. This is not THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD. Since the play is a trial, consider where in the proceedings the verdict comes and what happens afterward. There are just a few line differences for the attorneys and the accused, depending on the verdict. |
