| I expected and wanted to love Emilia Perez, but other than enjoying the performances and admiring its audaciousness, I thought much of it was a mess that didn't land. And not only were the songs unimpressive IMO, but every time a song came up I thought - "A song? Now? No." And I love a great musical. Sorry, I was glad when it was finally over; as opposed to my 2024 favorites, especially Anora, of which I loved every second. But as they say, Different strokes. |
