Ok I get it.
So I think (thought) it was always Audra’s and George’s intention to present Rose as a black woman trying to find her way for her and her family in a white dominated world, which wouldn’t necessarily require color blind casting.
I haven’t seen it yet (January 22 fingers crossed) so my take may be different after experiencing the piece. |
