I saw that production a couple of times, once with Angela Lansbury and, as the King, Michael Kermoyan. They were both terrific Angela, as expected, superb. Sadly, the theatre was, maybe 1/3 full, possibly 1/2. All I know is that there wwas a sea of empty seats. It was a real shame, although I guess people just didn't want to see it without Yul Brynner. |
