I agree. I must admit that Red Bull’s last musical benefit of Your Own Thing was awful despite the talent involved because everyone didn’t seem prepared. But last night was a delight from start to finish.
I saw the original production and the Shakespeare in the Park version with Oscar Isaac, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Anika Noni Rose and Norm Lewis (amazing cast!) Both were wonderful.
I always wondered why this musical hasn’t been revived with a top-notch cast. I think young people would love it. Has the West End ever produced it? |
