| Thanks for all these comments. Since there doesn't seem to be antipathy, maybe it's time for him to get a lifetime achievement award at the 2025 Tonys? His output, popularity and technical achievement, as well as his clear status in the entertainment industry now, suggest it's time. Just think how his shows have helped sustain the popularity of Broadway and of show music as a genre, since he is able to blend a kind of modern pop sound with lyric writing in the highest tradition of the Great White Way. |
