| I still remember so clearly in the Chinese restaurant when Herbie said, "Rose, what you want ..." and Lansbury roared (literally roared) "I'LL GET!!!!" The look on her face when she realized she'd gone over the line, and pulled back, "And after I get it, I promise I'll marry you. I even promise to keep my promise." She had a similar moment in the opening scene with Uncle Jocko. I've never seen any other Rose say "I guess DESPERATE people do DESPERATE things" with such ammunition. This woman meant business. |
