According to an article in Variety she was participating in a charity concert and the organization had a policy that all participants had to be either vaccinated or tested on a regular basis. Osnes chose to be tested on a regular basis in order to participate. The organization then changed their Covid protocol to just vaccination and when Osnes found out about the change, she bowed out of the concert. Osnes said she “would have tested in a heartbeat — something I have been doing for months, and will continue to do so, in order to keep working safely.” But that was no longer an option.
The organization admitted that there was a miscommunication. “Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication of our policy, and Laura Osnes voluntarily opted out of the one-night only performance. She was graciously doing this event as a charitable gesture to Guild Hall, and for this we are grateful. Laura is a talented artist and we look forward to working with her again in the future,” the Guild Hall spokesperson said in a statement.
Osnes said her withdrawal from the project was "drama-free and discrete" but later her vaccination status was “broadcast with an attitude of shame and demonization.”

Seems unfair that someone's career should be destroyed for doing the right thing while participating in a charity event.
