She sang "Some People" on the Tonys one year, and I thought, she'd be an interesting choice for Rose. It was years later when I saw her in previews. She wasn't fully back physically--there might have been a wobble here or there initially, but the show warmed up and so did she. It was a valid take on the role which she pulled off beautifully. Confirmed by that year's Tony performance.
