It’s the only production of Gypsy that I found…boring. I blame the direction. My recollection is that there was a lot of walking around on stage that slowed down the action due to the way the set was set up. I remember Bernadette being good, but not nearly as good as she was in her Tony Awards performance. Perhaps I saw it too early in the run before she had fully developed her performance.
