Louise was no Dainty June. She was the ass-half of a no-talent cow. Louise has to assume some accountability for letting Rose treat her the way that she did. Rose is just letting off some steam for being refused admission to Louise's dressing room. Rose is goaded seeing her daughter act all hoity-toidy. Louise will never measure-up to being a true star in Rose's book. Louise's career is a sham, and she and Rose both know it. Rose did it because June ran-away, and Louise was an available scape-goat. As dim as Louise is, she cannot be unaware of this. Rose sold-out to Burlesque, something she abhorred. I think Louise is being totally sarcastic. She knows damn well Rose was doing it for herself, but to what end? Rose's wanting to be a star was just a pipe-dream. The reality was the Death of a Stage-Mother.
