| Death becomes her is glitzy gaudy bawdy And just plain fabulous. The opening number if you want, perfection is probably the best number in the show and a perfect way to start a Show like this. It reminded me of the beginning of something rotten where the number was welcome to the Renaissance. In less than 10 minutes, the beautiful chorus changes costumes three times and the costumes in the show are over the top but delightfulPsul Tazewell Did the costumes and he is the one who did the costumes for Hamilton and for the movie wicked. The scene lighting and sound designers all wonTony awards for Moulin Rouge and I think if you like that, you will enjoy this show. The three female stars all have great voices and comedic chops as well. Christopher Sieber Has never been better. It is filled with magic and just plain fun so I hope it has a good reception when it opens tonight tonight I believe. The New York Times gave critic pics to a musical about robots and a musical about cannibalism so let’s see if it finds this joyful evening in the theater worth his time. |
