"My Fair Lady"? "Mary Poppins"? "Fiddler on the Roof"?

I've been on this planet for a fair share of time, but all of those film musicals made their debuts before I showed up... and all I know is that this is the biggest marketing campaign I've ever seen for any movie musical in my lifetime.

It's been ALLLL OVER new media, with tons of TIkTok, Instagram, and YouTube placements, not to mention the inevitable NBC (Universal) placements on Today Show / SNL / Tonight Show, etc. -- but the sheer number of press interviews that Ms. Grande & Ms. Orivo have done (almost always side-by-side) is stunning.

What probably excites me most is the knowledge that a whole new generation of kids around the WORLD are going to discover the genre of musical theatre for the first time, and then audition for their school show, join the drama club, or create their own works. I'm genuinely thrilled that the genre itself hasn't melted into the floor and disappeared. What a world!
