You captured perfectly our feelings about Swept Away-compelling story, beautifully performed and sung. John Gallagher, Jr. (this is only his 3rd Broadway musical) is that rare performer who is as riveting in silence as he is in performance. Great work from the other leads as well, whose singing is pitch perfect. I agree the set and sound design were terrific.
Not for everyone, but certainly a worthy 90 minutes in the theatre. |
