Yes, that right there is exactly what I meant by "feelgood nonsense." I'm sure there is an audience for that in New York, but I doubt it's large enough to run. (Of course the book of &JULIET is a full evening of such garbage, but it's running on the karaoke, not the story...I hope.)

Naturally, the show is camp. And when I say camp, at one point it features a tapdancing Jesus in gold pants (Independent)

I suspect Broadway has dialed the camp way down - did I miss the tapdancing Jesus?
