Maybe it was because i saw the original so late in the game that it couldn’t live up to the hype. I was sitting upstairs on the side and those are horrible seats in the Imperial Theatre. I saw the revised version decades later on tour in South Florida from the house seats. I’m sure that made a big difference. I saw the original Miss Saigon in London and was very put off by what seemed like a very anti-American view. I’ve seen it twice since then and loved it. |
