It's always been an issue with this board that people claiming to love theatre seem to relish attending an early preview then sharing with anyone paying attention how much they hated it.
Anyone who knows dick about theatre (or has worked in it) understands that most shows need a preview period for a reason. Yes, to obliterate and/or label a show a flop that only has 1, maybe 2 performances under its belt but weeks to go before it opens with ample time to fix what's wrong? Yes, it's a bit cruel and not to be taken all that seriously. It says more about the poster than it does about the show. |
