Beyond new years is typical for this century at least—not just post Covid. I guess you can argue that premium pricing started with the producers so ticket prices really rose after 2000. But one mustn’t forget that sunset boulevard was the only new score musical opening on broadway in the mid 90s. So not the competition for attention for ticket buyers like last season when I think 10 new musicals (mostly with new scores) opened
