"Generic" seems like such a terrible description. Like what they do is bland and ordinary instead of something quite skilled and important.
I have to imagine it was sometime in the 60's that this started to happen as a matter of course, though I can't name a specific show. Maybe AlanScott knows more about this particular history? |
