I will add that Task simply didn't have funny material when the show opened at Goodspeed. A couple of funny lines were added during the run, and I gather she landed them, but generally the role just had little comedy in it. "Little Girls" was added after Goodspeed.
London's first Hannigan, Sheila Hancock, was also London's first Mrs. Lovett in the musical. June Havoc, Mrs. Lovett on the North American second tour, was the final Miss Hannigan during the original Broadway run. |
