I rarely leave a professional show... but it has happened a few times. It's mostly if I'm finding it so unpleasantly cringey, where the choices of the creative team are clearly so misaligned with what I think they ought to be, that I just cannot physically take sitting through another hour+ of it...
or if I find my time is too valuable to be wasted IF I have something else to do I'd be giving up to stay.

I've left at least two Broadway productions simply because I was seeing them with a friend I don't get to see enough of, and we decided we'd rather go get a drink and talk with the time we had together than sit through the rest of the bad show. (this was Ring of Fire, which was always going to be bad but should have at least been fun -- and the Laura Linney revival of Les Liaisons Dangereuses, which should have been great and just was a leaden bore)

I hate to leave a show, but sometimes life is just too short.

I also find it easier to leave a mediocre revival of a work i know or can see in other, better productions, than a new show where if Act 2 gives me even 1 or 2 bright spots I'll be glad to have seen it, but would never know unless I stay.
