When it was announced he died, I did wonder if they would dim the lights but didn’t post because of the backlash I thought might occur.
I think the closest private gesture that public can participate is giving money to a charity either designated by family or close to the deceased heart like an animal shelter. Not the same as seeing the dimming of lights. I think I was in nyc only once for the event but it was moments before curtain so I was already in the theater seated. |
