Interesting that you mention Linda Lavin. The first time I saw her onstage was on Broadway in “The Sisters Rosensweig” in the role originated by Madeline Kahn. I never saw Kahn (I’m sure she was great), but could she have been better than Linda Lavin, who was absolutely remarkable and hilarious and adorable in the part?
I remember wishing I could go up and hug her at the curtain call. |
