Counting weeks over a run is not a valid metric of how a show is doing. Neither are averages (and especially not mere anecdotes). Lots of shows do gangbusters for a while and then start to fizzle. It is on the basis of the fizzle that rational producers decide when to close a show. Any data that is not measuring time is meaningless. So yes, the show was doing "fine" a year ago, it is not doing fine now. If you actually want to understand why you are wrong, calculate the weighted moving average. If you just want to keep saying the same thing without understanding, be my guest. I've done just about all one can do to help. |
