But how many times can you see a specific play? I know many raves about an actors interpretation vs another actors interpretation of character but I just don’t have the patience to see the same play over and over for those nuances. I’m more into the plot and outcome and once I’ve see it—I’m bored the second time. I’ve never enjoyed noises off more than the first time I saw it including subsequent broadway revival. Same with our town that I’ve seen 3 times. I was glad I saw the cherry jones glass menagerie because I did like that better than the first local production I had seen a decade before. I saw the original Goat and have no interest in seeing it again with different interpretations.

But I don’t reread books either. My friend loves the prose of a book and I only like the plot. I don’t care how well it’s written if there isn’t a plot.
