I think there isn't a single current Broadway theatre that has never housed a play. I imagine the lead actors of this Othello and possibly the director prefer a relatively small theatre to larger ones that have mostly housed musicals. Washington once did a play at the 46th Street / Rodgers, and I wouldn't be surprised if his feeling about doing a play in a theatre that large or larger is "Never again." | |
