| What's a "a show-stopping musical"? A show that never starts because the show itself stops it? That's a really good question. :-) I think it's the very natural hubris of a young writer who sees the seductive standing ovations in his head, with no Joe Josephson going "write more, work hard, leave your name with the girl." Anyone remember Glory Days? Also, of course, notice the the "synopsis" (per se) gives us nothing about the characters, the time or place, or even the the basics of a plot - so I wonder if there are truly compelling characters with a real story here, not just yet another musical that has fun making fun of musicals. |
