| I don’t know about the print but I have always felt the film was a miscalculation despite having a lot of great people involved. The poetic and theatrical quality of the text feels stilted staged in those realistic rooms covered mainly in close ups. When I saw my first stage production directed by Gerald Gutierrez the play was a revelation to me and I realized how important it was that the audience is trapped along with the characters in that single setting of a handsome, comfortable but increasingly dreadful living room. |
