| I saw Love Life at Los Musicals in London, many years ago. I recall it was charming. (and it did run 242 performances in 1948-49). I remember vividly in Act One when Sam and Susan started singing ' I remember it well' - hearing a familiar lyric - but with totally different music! [SUSAN] It was six-fifteen [SAM] You werŠµ dressed in white [SUSAN] I was all in green See pop shows near New York Get tickets as low as $172 [SAM] That's right! I remember it well It began to pour [SUSAN] It was warm and clear [SAM] We were in the store [SUSAN] We were both out here [SAM] That's right! I remember it well We were all alone The kids had flown Upstairs to bed for the night [SUSAN] When you brought the chair They both were there But outside of that you are right [SAM] But the moon was low [SUSAN] Yes, the moon was low [SAM] And I loved you so Yes, I did love you so And it seemed even more More than ever before Am I right? [SUSAN] Oh yes, you're right [SAM & SUSAN] I remember it well |
