| I read the linked piece. I had read so little about this production that I didn't know that David Thaxton played Max in London and will play the role on Broadway. I'm a bit surprised that someone would move in 13 years from playing Enjolras in Les Miserables and Giorgio in Passion to playing Max, or at least that this would happen in full-scale professional productions in London. Although I suppose that I wouldn't have been that surprised if Michael Cerveris had moved from playing Giorgio in D.C. to playing Max in less time than that, but casting Cerveris in that role was kind of unusual casting fitting that production's concept. | |
