| The magical stage musical of GIGI with Alfred Drake!! He had been a friend of my grandparents, so he kindly granted me a backstage visit after I left a letter for him. His kindness that day forever changed my life and gave my 7 year-old self the confidence that I belonged in the theatre, & also, LOL, that I was entitled to write to a leading actor in every other show I was to see, up till age 16, requesting a meeting!!! Was sad that Agnes Moorehead, soon too ill to continue in what was to be her final production, had just started to miss performances. |
