Funny you should mention Mitch Gaylord. He headlined in ''American Anthem'' (1986), which tried to turn him into a movie star. And it came out only a year after Kurt Thomas and ''Gymkata.'' And like ''Gymkata,'' it bombed at the box office. And like Thomas, Gaylord got a Razzie nomination for Worst New Star.
On the other hand, a young Tom Holland learned gymnastics while he was in ''Billy Elliot,'' & his acrobatic skills would later land him the role of Spider-Man. |
