| I don't think it's so much the physical attributes, although so much of casting is about being typed in or out. But I think it's more that Megan Hilty has the voice, presence, charm, and polish we associate with a typical Broadway performer. Katherine McPhee's character was written as a newcomer and played as such, and in my opinion Katherine's talents are too small in scale to truly believe she would be in the running for such a larger than life role. |
