You're probably right about Audrey Hepburn. There are actually recordings available (probably on YouTube) of Leslie Caron's own vocals for "Gigi", and she's actually pretty good and quite charming, though not as smooth vocally as her dubber.

One rather strange item: Dana Andrews was dubbed in the film "State Fair", so one would assume he couldn't sing it, as a mainly dramatic actor. Actually, he was kind of hiding his musical background from his home studio, as he wasn't interested in them putting him into lots of musicals. The truth was that he had started off training to be an opera singer. The story I've read is that he, apparently not caring that much about the missed opportunity and not wanting to have his dubber taken off the project, didn't tell the studio until after filming began and the vocals had been recorded. Andrews did sing a bit in the film "The North Star", though I don't know if he did anywhere else professionally.
