Now people are just assuming why Owens might have been having breakdowns. It may be related to the content, it may not be.

Also I'm not sure what you think of as "very young". It seems Owens is currently about 34 (based on having graduated HS class of '08), so he'd have been about 29 in Strange Loop. Is that too young to play someone in going through something traumatic or triggering or dark? And do you think people older than that, or even older than say 50, have "worked out any of those things" for themselves? Can we count on that, especially depending on what the "things" to work out are? And what if the triggering thing for one actor is different than that of another actor? How do you plan for or account for anything with regard to this? Does every production with anything traumatic to go through or act out or discuss on stage have to have therapy paid for by the show? For just the actor going through it on stage, or for the other actors in rehearsal with it and performing around it? What of the director who has to analyze and stage and rehearse it and get the actor to a place where their stage experience is traumatic, and has to watch it over and over? What if the therapist doesn't fit well with that actor, what if their work doesn't help?

Also, no this isn't the point of intimacy coaches.

I'm not saying Owens shouldn't have had a therapist for the run of the show as part of the deal... but this is really not as simple as it may seem.
