| Sara Chase was diagnosed with cancer shortly before the Broadway run began. She is taking a medical leave of absence to pursue her necessary treatment. I imagine that Kennedy's history of working with Marc Bruni (who directed BEAUTIFUL, in which she was the long-serving Carole King) factored into the choice of her as a temporary replacement. |
