| I remember attending a reading of The Rink at Manhattan Theatre Club starring Dorothy Loudon and Julie Johnson in 1995, directed by Joe Mantello, who was hot off of directing Terrence McNally's Love! Valour! Compassion! which MTC had produced and was currently running on Broadway. A few of the actors from L!V!C! were in the reading. Don't remember details, there wasn't much staging, but Loudon and Johnson were both brilliant. Sadly, the production did not go further. |
