True, but I think if one shortens up the phrase compared to what the poster you are responding to wrote, there is something here. I call it the five note thing. lol.

I won't go through all my sheet music right now so I concede if they are aren't interval perfect, but I hear the same thing in:

Love is what you earn (Passion)
Take a look around (Assassins)
Plant them and they soar (ITW)
Horn fanfare (Sunday)

And I think this pattern is heard elsewhere in these same shows. I don't think it's a coincidence these are all late career shows. Sondheim got further away from writing traditional songs, and this sort of thing popped up more as he wrote extended musical sequences, snippets, and I think overall looked for notes that sounded conversational to hang his brilliant lyrics on.
