Wildly exaggerated, and no evidence that we're heading there.
Although I would welcome a new Beauty And The Beast that avoids, like this new Cats does, the very obvious design route of the original production. The story doesn't need to be told with everyone stuck inside Disney Theme Park costumes. I won't say the show wasn't entertaining in its own right, but the costumes were way too predictable and unimaginative, and more than a bit insulting.
Les Mis already came back and left again. And there already was a Spanish Wicked in Mexico, and a production in Brazil in Portuguese. Got a problem with that? |
