Hey, I’m still mourning the demise of tickets printed on thick paper in different colors corresponding to a show’s different price points. It’s a new world.
But, seriously, one of the first ways I learned about theater was when I’d accompany my parents on the LIRR from NYC to visit relatives in eastern Long Island. At every station, there were enormous posters for shows currently playing. Does anyone know if that kind of advertising to the suburban audience still exists? It certainly made an impression on pre-teen me.
