I agree with most of what you say, but I think there's far too little known about the Audra Gypsy at this point to grant it forerunner status in any Tony category.
Who'd have ever thought two of the "edgiest" productions New York is seeing and about to see would have been written by Andrew Lloyd Webber? He must be truly delighted and as surprised as everyone else. |
