| Such an excellent post, Peter3053. I saw the show and purchased the album. I liked the show more than most people (but then I 'm a big fan of the Bunuel films). As is almost always the case with Sondheim for me, the music made less of an impression on me until I heard it again. But this is an album I can see myself listening to repeatedly. It conveys the essence of the show just about perfectly, imo. |
