There certainly will never be another Geraldine Page...her daughter Angelica inherited much of her talent; her performance in MACHINAL at the Actors Studio left me unable to stand up from my seat for quite a few minutes after the play ended. The memorial for Geraldine Page was indeed beautiful, with a Broadway theatre full of people in attendance. It was my first time ever hearing Ravel's PAVANE FOR A DEAD PRINCESS, and I still can never hear it without thinking of her or the love with which Rip Torn introduced it as a tribute to her.
