| It IS puzzling why Paul X'ed out those names, but this is my speculation: Paul might've felt he was protecting the identities of the writers. Even if Sondheim's corrections were factual, it still might look embarrassing for them to have their mistakes publicly pointed out by Sondheim. Of course, if you have the issues of The Sondheim Review in which those articles appear, you could figure out who wrote what. But I imagine many readers of ''Sondheim and Me'' will not. |
