''Perfectly Frank'' ran only 17 regular performances in 1980. Besides Jo Sullivan Loesser, Shapiro and Ruprecht, the cast included:

* Wayne Cilento: Who would win a 1993 Tony for choreographing ''Tommy.'' He also choreographed the songbook revues of ''Jerry's Girls'' and ''Dream.''

* Don Correia: Who would get a 1986 Tony nomination for ''Singin' in the Rain.'' And he was in the casts of the 2001 AND 2011 revivals of ''Follies.''

* Virginia Sandifur: Who was Young Phyllis in ''Follies'' (1971) and did the ''Rodgers & Hart'' revue (1975). ''Perfectly Frank'' was her last Broadway show.

* Jim Walton: Who made his Broadway debut in ''Perfectly Frank,'' which he jokingly has called ''Perfectly Rank.'' His next Broadway show came a year later: playing Frank in ''Merrily We Roll Along.'' Followed by another songbook revue: ''Stardust: The Mitchell Parrish Musical'' (1987).

And here's two more short-lived songbook shows: ''Swinging on a Star: The Johnny Burke Musical,'' which got a 1996 Tony nod for Best Musical. Plus, ''The Gershwins' Fascinating Rhythm'' (1999), which included Michael Berresse, Darius de Haas, Adriane Lenox, Orfeh, Sara Ramirez and Patrick Wilson.
