It may have been under Tim leading as AD but Adam was Associate Artistic Director during that time, several years into it, and was also very involved and also responsible with Tim for developing and programming and producing what was done at PH. Adam didn't just swing in from another theater (as Evan Cabnet is about to do from LCT3 to 2nd Stage).

But even if they didn't develop it at all, they are the theater that produced the show, from its first major NYC production, to DC, to Broadway.

My point was (i think pretty clearly) that *as far as ADs of major major nyc non-profits*, Adam is paid less than the others to start, and his theater, while he was THE or one of the two Artistic Leadership of the theater. My point was that if this were a corporation, that would be more than enough to get you big bonuses, unearned amounts of bonus money. Even just for winning best Musical, let alone Musical and Best Play in 2 years time. Even if he did nothing, even if the deals were in place before he officially took the top position. But it was just a comparison for the fact that this isn't like Oskar or Andre or Lynn or Todd (RIP) taking a pay cut, Adam (and I'm sure Tim before him) was making less than them anyway.

I agree about the real work being the artists who are not compensated fairly given what they do, that what they do is the entire reason for the theater existing, and why there are audiences buying tickets. I wasn't saying that Adam deserves more $ because he's the reason Strange Loop and Stereophonic are good, obviously that's due to the writers, directors, and cast primarily. And presumably some major NYC non-profit would have produced both of them if not PH. But they didn't, PH did.
