This "Tosca" is a very traditional, gorgeous production, but it's not a great cast. I would recommend you see "The Tales of Hoffman" at the end of September, which stars the truly great tenor Benjamin Bernheim. You might consider joining TDF, which has a $40 membership fee. This "Tosca" (but probably not "Hoffman") will be available there at 50% discount. The Met Opera at noon 12 PM for each performance allows people to purchase tickets at $25, and these are in the sides and rear of the orchestra. You have to register beforehand with the Met Opera and you have to phone the Met precisely at noon. They allow you to purchase 2 discount tickets.
