| On the OCR of Woods, there's also a section of "Any Moment" that got cut. Also, the original Witch's Lament was cut down from what was recorded - the most recent licensed versions of the show have restored that. (The new score has both Vanessa's and Bernadette's keys.) The intro section to "The Contest" in Sweeney was cut down from what was recorded. And of course the Judge's "Johanna" was cut from the original production. "Patterns" from Baby was thankfully recorded, but not sung in the original production. I once asked Shire about this and he told me that the producers didn't like the song - it felt too sad to be in what they thought they were selling as a musical comedy. As I think I mentioned before, the complete vocal to "Autumn" is included on the OCR of Titanic, though only the beginning and ending of the song are sung in the show (the music remains, as underscoring to a short dialogue scene). |
